availability schedule

availability schedule
A schedule that determines when each bank in the check-clearing process will receive credit and when the depositor of checks will be able to withdraw or invest the funds. The schedule sets a standard time period since each check cannot be individually traced through the check-clearing process. Every major bank publishes its availability schedule based on its location and on the location of the bank on which the check is drawn. American Banker Glossary
